HISTORIC NEIGHBORHOOD TROLLEY TOUR
The historic neighborhood trolley tour is back! The trolley tour is a personally guided tour highlighting buildings in the Concordia Neighborhood and surrounding area. The guides will share historical details and chronicle accounts about buildings present and past, as well as anecdotal tales from neighborhood residents. We are also highlighting neighborhood facts as well as artists residing in the neighborhood. The tour promises to be fun and interesting!

Trolley Tour Features
Visitors will be transported through the streets of the Historic Concordia neighborhood and its vicinity. All the while their tour guide will talk about the history of this part of the city, the transitions the neighborhood has gone through and the revitalization efforts currently underway.
The theme of the tour, Stewards of History: Spirit of Innovation, will drive the narrative of the tour by focusing on technological developments of the late Victorian era that allowed cities to grow and flourish and set the stage for the technological explosion of the twentieth century.
From artists to architectural gems; from lost history to history being reborn; from blight to people working together for a better future, the Historic Concordia is one of the most interesting and storied neighborhoods in the city. This tour will offer tour goers a glimpse at an often-overlooked area and the wealth that lies within.
The tour will provide visitors with historical information on the following:

Frank-Lloyd Wright Townhouses ~ demolished
Emmanuel Baptist Church ~ a unique architectural gem
The New State ~ a true rebirth of a storied entertainment venue
